Accenture and Avanade revolutionize manufacturing productivity with Copilot solutions

Accenture and Avanade have partnered to deliver advanced Copilot-based solutions for manufacturing companies. The joint initiative deployed Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft Fabric, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Copilot Studio to support manufacturing operations, frontline worker efficiency, and sustainability goals. Solutions included Manufacturing Copilot, providing natural language access to data across applications and automating root cause analysis. The partnership also introduced Sustainability Copilot, streamlining Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) compliance by integrating Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability data with AI-driven insights. Pilot programs demonstrated productivity gains, with over half of users reporting quality improvements and reduced fatigue, and nearly a third less cognitive strain for workers. GitHub Copilot deployment among software engineering teams increased development efficiency and project delivery speed. The solutions address labor shortages, raise production outputs, cut operational costs, and reduce emissions. Accenture and Avanade have used their own organization as a pilot customer, leveraging experience to shape solutions they then deliver to external manufacturing clients.
